  Richard Cathie

Richard Cathie MNZM (Wellington) chaired the Working Party that set up the Arts Foundation and was Founding Chair on its establishment. Richard has maintained his commitment to the arts on an entirely voluntary basis, in the course of managing a busy legal career.

In Wellington, he has served on the Downstage Theatre Trust Board, the Hannah Playhouse Trust and the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards Trust. Nationally he has spent over 30 years on the Katherine Mansfield Menton Fellowship and now chairs the administrating Trust.

He is a former president and committee member of the Association of Community Theatres and was a member of the QEII Arts Council and Board of Creative New Zealand. He is Chair of the NZ Players Theatre Trust.
 
     
     
 
  Neil Gray

Neil Gray has been practising law in Wellington for over 55 years. He joined Chapman
Tripp in 1955, became a partner in 1962 and a senior partner in 1991. He retired as a
partner in 2001 but continues to practise as a consultant to Chapman Tripp.

Neil, along with Suzanne Snively and Richard Cathie, are three of the inaugural five
trustees of the Theatre Awards Trust and has been Chairman during that time. Neil and
his wife Tiahuia have been keen supporters of theatre in Wellington, with a particular
interest in the achievements of their children in the dance and theatre worlds.

 
     
     
 
  Craig Reid

Craig is a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Consulting division. Craig leads PwC's technology consulting group, providing independent advice to help organisations get better performance from their Information Technology groups and assets.

Craig has been a Theatre Awards Trustee since early 2010 and is a strong supporter of the Awards. Craig and his wife enjoy nothing better than a night at the theatre watching live and local talent performing.
 
     
     
 
  Suzanne Snively

Economic strategist, Suzanne Snively, an inaugural trustee of the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards, is Managing Director of MoreMedia Enterprises. She has been a regular theatre attendee and supporter since her arrival in Wellington as a Fulbright Scholar over 30 years ago.

Amongst other roles, Suzanne is a Director of the New Zealand Opera Company, a Trustee of the Whitireia Performing Arts Trust and Chairs the Boards of the Wellington Performing Arts Centre and the New Zealand Radio Training School. She is also a Ministerial appointee to both the Whitireia and WelTec polytechnic Councils and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Suzanne was honoured by the Queen as one of 100 people receiving a Women's Suffrage Medal in 1993 and as a recipient of the New Zealand Order of Merit for Services to Business (2005 Queen's Birthday Honours). Her family, including husband, Ian, three children, a son-in-law and Leo the performing Lab, keep her entertained.
 
     
     
 
  Mike Woodbury

Mike is a Partner in Chapman Tripp's Corporate & Commercial Team focusing on Funds, KiwiSaver and Superannuation. He has been a Theatre Awards Trustee since 2007 and is a long-time staunch supporter of the Awards. Mike is a music lover and advocate for all that the arts can offer young people and our wider community.

Mike was Chairman of the Association of Superannuation Funds of New Zealand (ASFONZ) from 2003 to 2005, and was an ASFONZ Councillor and a member of the ASFONZ Public Policy Guardian Group from 2001 to 2007. He was a member of the government-appointed Savings Products Working Group which reported to the Minister of Finance in 2004 and whose recommendations led to the KiwiSaver legislation.
